Flat alloy steel wire, also known as flat alloy steel wire in Chinese, is a special wire product that combines the high strength and flat shape characteristics of alloy steel. Essentially, it is made from alloy steel wire rods through a precise drawing process.
At the very beginning of the production process, strict raw material inspection is carried out. For example, during the spheroidizing annealing process, specific temperature, time and cooling rate parameters need to be carefully controlled. Assume that the temperature is usually set between 700 - 750°C and the holding time is about 2 - 4 hours. This is essential to ensure the drawing performance of the wire and the quality of the final product. After that, the pickling process usually involves the use of a certain concentration of acid solution, such as about 10 - 15% hydrochloric acid, to effectively remove oxides on the surface of the wire. Then, the coating process applies a lubricating and protective layer on the surface of the wire. This layer not only improves the surface quality, but also enhances the lubricity during the wire drawing process, significantly reducing the wear of the wire drawing die.
Different grades of spring steel wire are used in different fields:
Spring steel wire with lower tensile strength is mainly used for tension, compression or clamping springs, and mainly withstands lower static vibrations.
Medium tensile spring wire is used for tension, compression or compression springs subject to medium to high static loads or very little dynamic loads, and also for wires that require severe bending.
High tensile spring wire is used for tension springs, compression springs, elastic springs and wires subject to high static vibrations or medium dynamic vibrations.
