Pneumatic nail guns have certain requirements for air pressure during use. Taking a steel nail gun as an example, it needs to be connected to an air pump with an air pressure range of 0.40 to 0.70 MPa (about 4 to 7 kg) when working. This is a key parameter to ensure the strength of nail shooting and safety of use. If an electric nail gun is used, it is usually necessary to connect a 220V power supply and use it with an electric air pump to provide continuous and stable power support.
In addition, pneumatic nail guns have high requirements for power sources, including the cleanliness of the air source and the stability of the air pressure. The air hose connecting the air pump and the nail gun must also be selected with appropriate length and specifications to avoid air pressure attenuation affecting the working effect.
Precautions when using a pneumatic nail gun:
Adaptive air source range
Woodworking air nail guns are suitable for common air compressors. It is recommended to adjust the working air pressure between 0.45–0.75 MPa to ensure stable and safe nail shooting.
Use the three-piece air set
It is recommended to equip the air filter, air regulator and oil mist lubricator (i.e. "three-piece air set") to filter impurities, stabilize air pressure and provide lubrication to obtain clean, dry, stable and well-lubricated compressed air, thereby significantly extending the service life of the air nail gun.
Daily lubrication and maintenance
Before use every day, it is recommended to drip 2~3 drops of special lubricating oil from the air gun joint to ensure smooth operation of internal parts, effectively improve work efficiency and tool life.
Adjust air pressure according to materials
The required operating air pressure will vary depending on the workpiece of different materials (such as wood, steel plate) and the length of the nails. Before use, it should be adjusted appropriately according to the actual situation.
Use of safety device
The nail gun is equipped with a safety device. When using it, the gun nozzle must be pressed tightly against the working surface before the trigger can be pulled, so as to avoid the danger caused by misoperation.
Ensure that there is no leakage in the air path
All air pipe connection systems should be kept well sealed to avoid air leakage to ensure stable air supply pressure and improve work efficiency.
Wear protective equipment
When using a nail gun, protective equipment such as goggles should be worn to avoid injuries caused by rebound or accidental splashing of high-pressure nails.
Control the maximum air pressure
The operating pressure shall not exceed 0.8 MPa. At the same time, it is prohibited to operate with an empty gun (i.e. firing without nails) to avoid damage to the internal structure of the nail gun and affect its service life.
Avoid pointing the gun muzzle at the human body
During operation, it is strictly forbidden to point the gun muzzle at yourself or others to prevent accidental shooting and cause serious personal injury.
It is strictly forbidden to fire without a gun
Not only may the nail fly out and injure people, but it is also easy to damage the internal parts of the gun and increase the risk of failure.
By following the above specifications and operating suggestions, the working efficiency of the pneumatic nail gun can be improved, and the safety during use and the durability of the equipment can be ensured. Users should always be cautious and standardized in actual operation to ensure human and machine safety.
